[Global Health]: The Leading Causes of Death In Nigeria

A new Global study has revealed that the leading causes of death in Nigeria were malaria and HIV.
Almost one hundred and ninety-two thousand Nigerians were reported to have died of malaria which was regarded as the number one killer of both young and old in 2015, while the second and third top causes of death were diarrheal diseases and HIV/AIDS, killing 143,689 and 131,873 people, respectively.
Ironically, in 2015, the top three non-fatal causes of health loss were iron-deficiency anemia, low back pain, and major depression, meaning that the conditions that kill are not typically those that make people sick in Nigeria.
